Paul Cooper

Managing Director

Leading the Alt HAN team to deliver products and services for Energy Suppliers and their customers. Working closely with the other members of the Alt HAN Board to steer the business in line with Forum decisions. An engineer and energy sector senior executive with over 25 years of experience delivering within complex regulatory frameworks. Paul is also a trustee of a local food bank.

Elizabeth Jones

Business Operations

Leading Business Operations, ensuring AltHan Co thrives, covering Finance, HR, IT, Compliance and Secretariat services. Beth has developed staff led committees including Health and Wellbeing, Social, ESG, Equality & Diversity and a Women’s forum enabling employees to have a strong voice within AHC. With 25 years’ senior experience across organisations such as BMW, Aviva and healthcare. Married with 2 sons, Beth also loves to travel.

Amit Sheth

Commercial

Leading the supplier, regulatory and procurement teams, both delivering the needs of wider Alt HAN Co business and supporting the smart rollout to some of the country’s most vulnerable customers. In previous roles, Amit has led commercial teams at other major projects such as Crossrail and London 2012. Amit also leads our strategy work, working with external stakeholders on shaping the future of Alt HAN Co.

Nas Zeb

Product and Change

With over 20 years of experience in the energy industry, Nas specialises in turning complex challenges into practical, real-world solutions. As Product and Change Director at Alt HAN Co, Nas leads the product and change functions, delivering initiatives that meet the needs of the wider business while supporting the successful rollout of smart solutions to customers across the UK.
Balancing strategic planning with hands-on delivery, Nas works closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, improve outcomes, and ensure that products evolve in line with both organisational and customer needs. In addition to overseeing key transformation programmes, Nas plays an important role in shaping Alt HAN Co’s strategic direction, working with internal and external stakeholders to help define the organisation’s future. Outside of work, Nas is a passionate marathon runner, bringing the same focus, resilience, and determination to every challenge, whether leading major initiatives or pursuing the goal of completing all seven World Marathon Majors.

Elected Chairs

The Alt HAN Forum is the decision-making engine where energy supplier representatives debate issues and cast votes. The Alt HAN Board is how these decisions are given commercial effect. The Board also has an advisory role to the Forum.

The chair of the Forum and all members of the Alt HAN Board are elected by Forum Members.

Colin Sausman

Chair, Alt HAN Forum

As Forum Chair Colin oversees and facilitates the decision-making of Energy Suppliers through the Alt HAN Forum and supports its engagement with stakeholders. Colin is an economist and senior executive who has held roles in regulatory bodies in GB and Australia and has advised widely across the energy sector. He is also the vice-chair of governors at his local state secondary school, and an FA-qualified football and futsal coach. Colin has been Forum Chair since 2017.

Ismey Kelly

Chair, Alt HAN Co. Board

As Board Chair, Ismey supports the effective operation of the Alt HAN Co Board in meeting its fiduciary responsibilities, and providing challenge and support to the Alt HAN business. Ismey is Head of Revenue Operations at OVO, and brings experience of working for a large energy supplier actively involved in smart metering at scale. Ismey has experience in driving smart communication performance, of which Alt HAN plays a key role. Ismey has been Chair the Alt HAN Co board since January 2026.
